About Father Mike

Father Mike (he/they) is an Episcopal priest in the Diocese of Bethlehem. At 33, he is the youngest cleric in the diocese. Father Mike serves as a hospital chaplain and hospice chaplain in Berks and Lancaster Counties in Pennsylvania.

Specific Interests

Father Mike is working to bridge the divide between marginalized communities and the Church, striving to introduce Millennials and Zoomers to a more inclusive vision of faith. They are also passionate about using the Church to meet the physical and tangible needs of the community, addressing poverty and inequality in the spirit of Jesus' teachings (Matthew 25:31–40).

A Doctor of Ministry student, his dissertation focuses on improving the hiring disparities faced by LGBTQ+ and BIPOC clergy in the Episcopal Church. Father Mike is also an accomplished vocalist, pianist, and composer.

On a personal note, they are a dedicated foodie with a deep interest in gastronomy, the intersection of food and culture, alternative livestock and exotic meat production, cidermaking, and enology. He also enjoys collecting vintage appliances and fashion accessories, especially handbags and shoes.
