DEIB Consulting with Father Mike

Father Mike (he/they) is a final-year doctoral candidate at Lancaster Theological Seminary, a division of Moravian University. His doctoral thesis examines hiring disparities within the Episcopal Church. Their academic research, combined with years of pastoral leadership, has made them a trusted voice in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB).

As both a scholar and a priest, Father Mike brings a unique blend of insight and experience to his work. He will soon begin offering consulting services to churches, dioceses, faith-based organizations, and non-profits committed to building more inclusive and welcoming communities.

Their services will include:

• Helping congregations create environments where all feel truly welcome—from first-time visitors to longtime parishioners

• Equipping parish search committees and diocesan leaders to ensure fair and equitable hiring practices that honor candidates from all backgrounds

Whether he’s working with a small parish or a large organization, Father Mike approaches DEIB consulting with pastoral care, theological depth, and a deep commitment to justice.
